Kenya’s top professional golfer and current Equator Tour Order of Merit leader, Greg Snow, has officially been invited to compete at the prestigious Indian Oil SERVO Masters Golf Tournament, running from 18th to 21st November, to be held at the renowned Digboi Golf Links in India.

The Indian Oil SERVO Masters is a flagship event on the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) calendar and enjoys a heritage of more than two decades. The defending champion is Bangladeshi star Jamal Hossain, who claimed the 2024 title. The tournament is set to offer a prize purse in excess of 10 million Indian Rupees (approximately Kshs15 million) for the 2025 edition, marking its status as one of the richest domestic-tour events in India. Snow’s selection reflects his dominant season on the Equator Tour, with multiple victories and high-finishes that have flagged him as a genuine international competitive talent. This invitation provides a major platform for both the player and Kenyan golf to further their reputations on a regional and global stage.

Speaking on the invitation, Greg Snow said:“I am honoured to receive this opportunity to compete in India. My focus is to represent Kenya and the region to the highest standard and to continue proving that our professionals can consistently challenge on international stages.”The Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) has welcomed the news as a significant affirmation of the region’s growing strength. In a statement, PGK Chairman CJ Wangai noted:“Greg’s invitation to the Indian Oil SERVO Masters is a landmark achievement for the PGK. It proves our touring professionals can compete and be recognized abroad.

Through the Equator Tour and our Player Development Plan, we are committed to creating more such pathways. We are all aware of Greg’s ability and we wish him all the best this week.”Snow’s appearance in this high-profile event is expected to draw increased visibility not only for him personally but for Kenyan golf’s overall development trajectory. As the PGK seeks to build stronger international links and opportunities, fellow professionals and emerging juniors will view this milestone as a beacon of possibility.
