Njoroge Kibugu Cruises to Victory at Nyali at the PGK Equator Tour

Njoroge Kibugu produced a sensational display of golf to be crowned champion of the fourth leg of the PGK Equator Tour Season 2 at Nyali Golf & Country Club, closing with a remarkable 15-under-par total to secure one of the most dominant victories of the season.

The NCBA-backed professional was in outstanding form throughout the week, combining power, precision and consistency to finish nine shots clear of his closest challenger. Having taken the lead after the opening two rounds with scores of 69 and 67, Kibugu never looked back, delivering a champion’s performance over the final 36 holes to lift the coveted PGK Equator Tour trophy.

Greg Snow, last season’s PGK Order of Merit Champion, finished second on 5-under par, while Daniel Nduva claimed third place on 4-under par after another impressive week on the Coast.

The tournament once again showcased the depth of talent within Kenya’s professional ranks, with experienced campaigners and emerging stars battling for a share of the KShs. 1.5 million prize fund and valuable Order of Merit points.

The PGK Equator Tour continues to fulfil its mission of providing consistent competitive opportunities for Kenyan professionals while developing a pathway to bigger stages, including qualification for the Magical Kenya Open and the long-term ambition of producing a Kenyan professional capable of representing the country at the 2028 Olympic Games.
