PGK Equator Tour Heads to Sigona Golf Club for the 7th Leg – The Official Pathway to the Magical Kenya Open 2026 and Road to Olympics 2028
The Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) is proud to announce the 7th leg of the PGK Equator Tour 2025, scheduled for Thursday, 4th December to Sunday, 7th December 2025 at the renowned Sigona Golf Club. This event marks a pivotal moment in the tour, serving as the main qualifier for the Magical Kenya Open (MKO) 2026 for Kenyan professional golfers, and forming a significant milestone on the Road to the Olympics 2028.
With increased stakes and growing anticipation, this leg brings together the country’s leading professional golfers, all vying for crucial Order of Merit points and an opportunity to secure their place on Kenya’s biggest golf stage.
At the forefront is the current Order of Merit leader, Greg Snow, who will be looking to defend his position and potentially capture his fourth PGK Equator Tour trophy of the season. Snow’s impressive form and consistency have placed him firmly as the one to watch.
Joining him is Samuel Njoroge, the winner of the previous leg of the tour, who returns with strong momentum and will be aiming to secure his second title of the season as he rises through the Order of Merit standings.
This thrilling edition of the tour will also feature three exceptional elite amateurs—Mitansh Thacker, Shiv Shah, and Hetansh Shah—who will step onto the professional stage to test their abilities against Kenya’s top pros. Their participation underscores PGK’s commitment to developing emerging golf talent.
The success of the PGK Equator Tour would not be possible without the generous support of our valued sponsors and partners on this journey: NCBA, Safaricom, Britam, Visa, Johnnie Walker, Kenya Airways, and our Official Technology Partner, Computech. Their unwavering contribution continues to elevate professional golf in Kenya and create opportunities for players to shine on both local and international stages.
PGK is grateful for the steadfast partnership that fuels the growth of the tour and empowers players on their pathway to the Magical Kenya Open 2026 and the Olympics 2028.
