The Professional Golfers of Kenya (PGK) is pleased to officially announce that Margaret Njoki has turned professional and has been admitted as a member of PGK.
Margaret Njoki becomes the third lady professional golfer to join the Professional Golfers of Kenya, alongside Naomi Wafula and Joyce Wanjiru. Her transition to the professional ranks marks a significant milestone not only in her personal career but also in the continued growth and representation of women in professional golf in Kenya.
Margaret brings with her an impressive golfing résumé built over many years as an elite amateur golfer. She has represented Kenya on the international stage, competed on major regional and continental tours, and consistently delivered strong performances in both local and international tournaments. Her achievements include podium finishes at the Uganda Ladies Open, Kilimanjaro Ladies Open, participation in the Magical Kenya Ladies Open, appearances on the Sunshine Tour, and multiple overall wins in national and club events. She has also been a member of the Kenya National Team since 2019 and finished 4th on the Order of Merit during her amateur career Margaret Njoki
Beyond competition, Margaret is a passionate golf professional with extensive experience in instruction, tournament preparation, and course management. Her transition into the professional ranks strengthens PGK’s mission of developing talent, promoting professionalism, and growing the game of golf across the country.
PGK views Margaret Njoki’s entry into the professional game as a strong signal of progress and a source of inspiration to upcoming and current lady golfers. The Association hopes this milestone will encourage more women to turn professional, compete at the highest level, and confidently showcase their prowess on the golf course, both locally and internationally.
